Oviedo Old Town guided tour

On this tour we will discover the most monumental Oviedo, its palaces and the numerous statues that we can find at every step.

The tour will start at Alfonso II El Casto Square, King of Asturias who moved the capital of the kingdom to Oviedo and was the first pilgrim of the Way of St. James.

This is also the square of the Cathedral of El Salvador known as Sancta Oventensis because of its huge number of relics. Among them, the most popiular is the Holy Shroud. Gothic building in whose Holy Chamber is the Victoria Cross, symbol par excellence of Asturias

We will surround the Cathedral through the Santa Bárbara transit to contemplate the church of San Tirso, example of Asturian Pre-Romanesque.

After arriving to Trascorrales Squarewe will go on to La Constitución Square, chaired by the City Council and the church of San Isidoro el Real.

The next stop will be El Fontán Square, one of the most charming corners of the city, where the flea market is held and you can have a cider "culín" (glass), but what attracts the most is the attractiveness of its houses.

Finally, this visit will finish in the Escandalera Square, a meeting point for the Oventenses and the nerve center of Oviedo. Campo San Francisco, the Principality Board and the Campoamor Theater are some of the emblematic places that surround it.
