Entrance of the chapel, next to the church of San Antonio de Padua (Franciscan Fathers)
Get to know the funerary chapel of the Las Alas family, the history of its promoters and the architectural importance of this work.
Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, it was built in the 14th century and is one of the best examples of proto-Gothic architecture in Asturias. To protect it and ensure that it does not continue to deteriorate, access is restricted.
This chapel preserves in its interior the original tombstones of some of the descendants of this family, and the partially restored arcosolia. We will also learn the history of this surname through its coat of arms, which is protected within the chapel itself.
